WHY AUSSIES?

I fell in love with Aussies about 15 years ago while attending graduate school at the University of Wyoming. I was amazed at the intelligence of the breed and just had to have one. Nitani is a small hobby kennel with only four show Aussies in residence at the present time. We breed only occasionally with perhaps one litter a year. Our goal is to breed a versatile Aussie who can excel in any arena. Our Aussies are first and foremost our companions. They are all housedogs and get to be couch potatoes just like any other family member.

WHY NITANI?

Nitani is a variation on Nittany, as in Penn State Nittany Lions. Jeff and I met while attending PSU. Both Jeff and I are graduates of Penn State and have made our home here in "Happy Valley". We thought it only fitting to have a kennel name that means a great deal to both of us.
