Sophie was everything that I look for in an Aussie--sound conformation, correct movement and intelligent. She was too smart for her own good!!! As you can tell by the above photo, Sophie enjoyed herding. This was her first time on sheep--she was a natural!!!

Sophie was wonderful with our daughter Aubrey and son Garrett--they could do anything as far as Sophie was concerned. She was the ultimate babysitter--both kid and puppy alike!!!

CONFORMATION:Sophie competed at the 1998 USASA National Speciality in the 6-9 month old puppy class--Dr Berndt awarded her 4th place in a class of 26 girls. Sophie completed her AKC championship Spring 1999 at the Pittsburgh shows by taking two 4-point majors. On one of those days, she went BOB from the classes over specials going on to earn a group 4 in the herding group.

Sophie did very well at the 2000 ASCA Nationals in GA. She placed in the ribbons every time she was shown--1st and 3rd in 2 pre-shows and a 2nd to the WB at the Nationals. Pretty good for the little girl who was blowing coat with every step she took!!! Sophie visited Texas in 2004 and earned a 5 point major her 1st weekend shown. Sophie finished her ASCA CH at the HOTASC show in Jan 2004 by earning WB and BOW under breeder judge Terry Martin for her final major. Thank you Jan Wyatt and Debbie Reneau for showcasing our girl during her visit to TX!!!
AGILITY: Sophie earned her 3rd and final leg towards her AKC Novice Standard agility title with a 1st place run, no faults and well under time. She was very meticulous in her way of performing agility--a bit slow, but always correct:) After a 5 year hiatus from the agility ring, Sophie competed at a local trail to earn her 1st novice perferred standard leg in July 2006. We had hoped to continue with this but it was not meant to be....
